Every year, women’s day reminds people the importance of women, and men should respect them. While as the society develops, some people complain that the meaning of this day has been mislead. It has been always advocated that men and women should be equal.
Indeed, women become more independent today, and they live the life they want. While for some women, they use this slogan to ask more from men. When some women don’t make any effort to chase what they want, they have no right to ask for more rights. Both men and women should pay the bill for their life. Only in this way, can they in the equal status. Today, the young girls are independent. They are equipped with all kinds of skills, which is the new image. We are happy to see women find their own place in the world.

Today is Women’s Day early in the morning I opened the computer and read the news. I found most people planned to give their mothers the surprise until then did I realize that I should do something to my mom she took care of us all the time now she deserved to have a rest. So my father and I planned something for her.
My father and I told my mother she should take a rest in this day so my mother went to find her friends and went to shopping. My father and I decided to buy her a necklace my mother wanted to have a necklace for a long time but she thought it would spend a lot of money so she gave up. My father and I went to the jewelry shop we chose a necklace for my mother and she would be very happy.
When we went back home we started to cook the dinner after a while my mother came back. When she saw the dishes she laughed then my father took out the necklace my mother was very surprised she couldn’t say a word. I wish my mother happy all the time.

International Womens Day originally called International Working Womens Day is marked on March 8 every year which is a holiday for women in the whole world. Different nations or regions have different celebrations towards this holiday but their purpose is common namely appreciating for womens economic political and social achievements. China started to commemorate this day since 1922 and the first mass commemoration activity was held in Guangzhou in 1924. In December 1949 the Central Peoples Government Administration Council formally announced for the Womens Day on March 8.
With Opening up and progress of society women are playing an increasingly important role in all fields. We can see their great achievements everywhere. Therefore this is a day to protect the rights and interests of women as well as praise them outstanding contributions.
